In July 2025, Bloom Fresh International Limited successfully upheld its intellectual property rights in China following an infringement case involving its IFG 10 grape variety, which is marketed under the trade names SWEET GLOBE™ and Sweet Earth™. The unauthorised grower operating in Shandong province was compelled to destroy the illegally planted seedlings and pay substantial compensation to Bloom Fresh, as reported in the press release made by Bloom Fresh and published by Guojiguoshu
The infringing party had marketed the grapes under the name "Exquisite Starlight," violating Bloom Fresh's registered trademarks and new plant variety rights. This case reflects Bloom Fresh's unwavering commitment to protecting its proprietary varieties and trademarks through legal channels.
Bloom Fresh's portfolio also includes other proprietary varieties such as IFG SIX (Sweet Sapphire™) and IFG Twenty‑Two (Candy Dreams™). The company's legal teams in China and internationally continue to monitor unauthorised use of its intellectual property and will take prompt action against any infringing behaviour.
A spokesperson noted that this outcome reinforces Bloom Fresh's zero‑tolerance approach toward illegal cultivation and emphasises its responsibility to support authorised growers while safeguarding consumer confidence and market integrity.
