Taiwan to open market for Polish blueberries

Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung announced Taiwan's intention to import fresh blueberries from Poland. The import policy awaits final administrative steps. Taiwan's Ministry of Agriculture has introduced quarantine rules for these blueberries, initiating a 60-day public comment period. It is anticipated that the market opening may be effective in September.

Foreign Minister Lin acknowledged the efforts of Polish lawmakers Ɓukasz Horbatowski, Marek Chmielewski, and Iwona Krawczyk in strengthening Taiwan-Poland relations. Lin stated hope for expanded cooperation in AI, drones, and chip technology, beyond established economic and technological ties. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) highlighted this cooperation as pivotal in forming a non-China supply chain.

Horbatowski, visiting Taiwan, commended the country's political and economic progress. He welcomed Taiwan's move to open its market to Polish blueberries and expressed optimism for ongoing collaborations in agriculture and high-tech sectors. This partnership is aimed at benefiting the well-being of both Taiwanese and Polish populations.
