"This is undoubtedly the most abundant carrot harvest in recent years. By that, we mean in terms of production," said Giovanni and Michele Riontino, the brothers who run AgriDaniele in Zapponeta, a town in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region. "Unlike in the past, many more hectares are being planted with carrots from north to south in Italy. This is a good sign, especially considering the difficulties associated with water scarcity."

"Our carrot season began last November and will continue until June," say the Riontino brothers. "While the production outlook is encouraging, the same cannot be said for sales." "Currently, prices are unfortunately very low. There is a large supply of produce, which is significantly impacting the market. To make things worse, we're also facing competition from abroad, particularly from Egypt, which is offering decent-quality carrots at much more competitive prices."

Yet Italian carrots, especially those grown in the sandy soil of Zapponeta, continue to stand out. "Our carrots have a unique flavor. They are sweet, tender, and juicy. The soil in our area gives them very special characteristics. Anyone who tries them will notice this immediately. For those who haven't tried them yet, we invite you to do so."

To meet the needs of families and industry professionals, AgriDaniele offers its carrots in a variety of formats. We package them in 1- and 0.5-kilogram trays, as well as in bulk cartons and 10-kilogram bags that preserve freshness. Our goal is to provide a product that always arrives intact and fresh, ready to be enjoyed in Italy and abroad. "In addition to our sales in Italy, we have a strong presence abroad, particularly in Germany, where our carrots are extremely popular," conclude Giovanni and Michele Riontino.
