Brazil expects a remarkable grape season with increased production and good export prospects

"This year we didn't have any heavy rains, and that was good for the quality and volume. We increased our acreage by 16 hectares, so we'll be able to export more than 120 containers," says Gabriely Lima, commercial representative of the Brazilian firm Santa Felicidade (producers and exporters). The company works with grape varieties such as the Cherry Crush, Autumn Crisp, Cotton Candy, Arra 15, and Arra 23, and its main market remains Europe, followed by the United States and the UK.

The company also has a strong presence in the domestic market, with active sales in states such as São Paulo and Minas Gerais. "Currently, prices in the Brazilian market range from 60 to 75 reais per box, while in the European market they amount to between 22 and 40 dollars, depending on the variety and format," she says.

Despite this, we remain competitive with a strategy focused on varietal innovation and good communication with our customers. "We are always on the lookout for new varieties demanded by the market, and we introduce them quickly. We also strive to be there for our customers at all times, because if you are not seen, you are not remembered," she says.

Looking ahead, the company is working on gaining access to the Chinese market, for which it already has the necessary certifications. "China is an important market. They are not producing enough to meet their domestic demand, and we are ready to start exporting as soon as the bilateral agreements are formalized," she says.

Brazil's commercial window allows it to cover the period between the Peruvian and Chilean campaigns, which gives it a strategic advantage. According to Santa Felicidade, this has sparked significant interest from new customers in countries such as Argentina and Chile, reinforcing its commitment to international expansion.
