Family Mart has introduced a frozen choco banana, reviving a nostalgic treat for many in Japan. Traditionally found at festival stalls, these chocolate-covered bananas have been scarce in everyday stores. Using their own "Famimaru" brand bananas, Family Mart's version captures the classic flavor and texture, offering a satisfying snap of chocolate with a soft banana center. Released on April 22, 2025, the product quickly became a sell-out hit, reflecting a strong public desire for this childhood favorite. Priced at 298 yen, it's available nationwide, excluding Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Okinawa prefectures.
