Traverse Bay Farms, based in Bellaire, Michigan, has introduced a new label stating "USA-Grown Cherries – Never Imported," which will now appear on its packaging and promotional materials. The company says the label is part of its broader commitment to using only domestically sourced cherries, particularly from Michigan, a key region for tart cherry cultivation.
According to the company, the initiative aims to highlight transparency in sourcing and to support American agriculture by distinguishing products made with local ingredients from those using imported alternatives. Director of Marketing Andy LaPointe noted that Traverse Bay Farms does not import cherries or cherry products from overseas suppliers such as China, Turkey, or Poland.

Founded in 2001, the company produces a variety of cherry-based goods, including juice concentrate, dried cherries, sauces, jams, and salad dressings. It also offers a range of fruit-based dietary supplements through its Fruit Advantage line.
The newly launched logo aligns with the company's emphasis on local sourcing and food traceability. LaPointe stated that the goal is to help consumers make informed choices about the origin of the food they purchase and the agricultural systems they support.
Traverse Bay Farms is located along the 45th Parallel North, an area known for its fruit-growing conditions, and focuses on using ingredients such as tart cherries and maple syrup from the region.
