Netherlands was the main destination for Peruvian pomegranates in February

In February 2025, Peru exported 5,741 tons of pomegranates worth $12.0 million, which represents a 31% decrease in volume and a 45% fall in value. The average price fell by 21%, from $2.64 to $2.09 per kilogram. Last year, February was the second-best month for pomegranates. Exports are expected to improve starting in March, with shipments already exceeding 972 tons in the first days of the month.

Peru exported its pomegranates to 17 destinations. The Netherlands was the main destination with a 66% share, 3,944 tons worth $7.9 million, and an average price of $2.01 per kilogram. The United States ranked second with a 12% share, 472 tons worth $1.4 million, and an average cost of $2.94 per kilogram.

The UK ranked third with an 8% share, 411 tons worth $951,360, and an average price of $2.32 per kilogram. Germany followed with a 7% share, 460 tons worth $788,309, and an average price of $1.71 per kilogram. Brazil ranked fifth with a 3% share, 115 tons worth $307,472, and an average price of $2.68 per kilogram.
