Amy Yip has invested in Malaysia's first durian-themed hotel in Penang, with director Jack Neo as creative director. The hotel celebrates durian culture, featuring durian-inspired architecture, lighting, and unique dining options like durian hotpot and ice cream. Guests can enjoy cultural exhibitions and durian farm visits. Yip sees the project as a tribute to Malaysian tourism, while Neo aims to highlight the emotional heritage of the fruit shared by Singapore and Malaysia. The opening date is yet to be announced.
