According to BMG, Azerbaijan is poised to expand its persimmon exports to Europe, as announced by Gadir Yusifov, the head of the Azerbaijan Persimmon Producers and Exporters Association.
Yusifov highlighted that Azerbaijani persimmons are already being exported to countries such as Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Estonia, as well as to Moldova, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2023, Azerbaijan produced 187,100 tons of persimmons, representing a 1.5% increase compared to 2022, Yusifov noted.
"Out of this total, 164,900 tons were exported, generating $127.2 million in revenue. This marks the highest level since 2015," he added.
