Circle K owner sees revenue and profits driven by acquisitions
Alimentation Couche-Tard, which operates the Circle K forecourt brand in many countries across Europe, has reported a 1.6% increase in revenue in its merchandise and service division, which operates its retail operations, in its third quarter. The group reported merchandise and service revenues of $5.0bln (€4.6bln) in the period, however same-store revenues were down by 1.5% in the United States, by 0.3% in Europe and other regions, and by 1.2% in Canada.

Trader Joe's to open 16 new stores across the US.
Trader Joe's is expanding its store count across the United States as the grocer announced the opening of several new locations that will welcome shoppers in the coming months. On Friday, March 15, the company announced the opening of new stores in the following communities: Reno, Nevada: 13945 S. Virginia Street; Chandler, Arizona: 3961 S. Arizona Avenue; Milwaukie, Oregon: 15574 SE McLoughlin Boulevard; Salt Lake City, Utah: 2160 S 700 E; Coeur d'Alene, Idaho: 303 E. Spokane Avenue. Earlier in March, the company said it has plans to open new locations in Clearwater, Florida; Raleigh, North Carolina; Leesburg, Virginia; Mt. Pleasant (Isle of Palms), South Carolina; Sugar Land, Texas; West Springfield, Virginia; South Pasadena, California; Santa Clarita, California; Sherman Oaks, California; Santee, California; and Poway, California.
