Fruit transports from Pakistan to Russia open up lucrative markets for local growers and exporters

In an important development for the horticultural sector, the Pak-Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has commended the initiation of fruit shipments from Pakistan to Russia. This move is viewed as crucial for the agricultural exports of Pakistan, potentially opening up lucrative markets for local growers and exporters. The chamber's chairman, Zubair Motiwala, highlighted the strategic importance of this venture, stating, "This is a historic moment for us as it will open new avenues for trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Russia."

The transportation of fruits, including the much-acclaimed Pakistani mangoes and kinnows, to Russia marks a noteworthy step in diversifying Pakistan's export destinations. The chairman further elaborated on the significance of this route, emphasizing its potential to enhance bilateral trade relations and contribute positively to the economic landscape of the region. "This initiative will not only benefit Pakistani exporters but also provide Russian consumers with access to some of the finest fruits in the world," Motiwala added.
