For more than four years, ProExport Papaya has led education, training, research, advisory and supervision actions in the implementation of contamination risk reduction systems in the Mexican Papaya Industry. The members of the Association have adopted measures beyond the national and foreign ones, SENASICA action plan for papaya and SH law with the objective of raising the level of safety of our products, the organisation said in a statement.

"Our mission is to safeguard the health of the industry and our consumers. At the end of the year, Pasau CENAsiCA and foreign companies such as Food dhd extended a cordial invitation to national regulatory authorities such as the Aaminisuauional Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) and the Texas neau to associations with which we have collaborated throughout this time. as Produce Association (TIPA). The purpose was to demonstrate the implementation of these actions within the companies that are part of our association and also would participate in our Annual Assembly of ProExport Papaya.
In January 2024, we confirmed the invitation by carrying out an educational visit to some papaya production units in the state of Veracruz. During this visit, the invited authorities and associations were able to observe first-hand the actions that the industry has promoted among its members, improving Mexican papaya safety practices over recent years.
Subsequently, SENASICA, FDA, IFPA and TIPA accompanied us to our annual Assembly of the Mexican papaya industry in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. At the meeting we presented the results of our 2023 work plan, outlined the objectives for the 2024 work plan. We highlighted the holding of an open dialogue between authorities and the industry (owners and safety personnel), where the challenges were discussed, the actions and work implemented at all levels of the Mexican papaya industry.

For the Mexican papaya export industry, represented in this case by ProExport Papaya, this meeting has been historic and of great importance. It is a reflection of the coordinated work and the sum of synergies built over more than four years with authorities such as SENASICA and the FDA, as well as with other associations such as the IFPA and TIPA. The collaboration of these synergies has resulted in the continuous improvement of the contamination risk reduction systems of the papaya industry, emphasizing self-regulation promoted by ProExport Papaya and its members.
