Fruit and vegetable prices hold steady in Bulgaria

Last week, fruit and vegetable prices in Bulgaria remained stagnant, according to data from the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (SCCEM).

Imported tomato prices increased by 0.11% to 1.7 euros per kilogram. Imported cucumbers remained unchanged, selling at 1.6 euros per kilogram.

Potatoes saw a slight increase of 0.03% to 0.64 euros per kilogram. Carrot prices rose by 0.09% to 0.58 euros per kilogram, while ripe imported onions maintained their price at 0.7 euros per kilogram.

Cabbage prices increased by 0.05% to 0.45 euros per kilogram. Red peppers (imported) rose by 0.22% to 1.8 euros per kilogram, and lettuce prices increased by 0.02%, selling at 0.54 euros each.

Among the vegetables tracked by SCCEM, only imported ripe garlic saw a decrease of 0.19% to 2.9 euros per kilogram.

Imported apple prices rose by 0.09%, selling at 0.94 euros per kilogram. Lemons were up by 0.13% at 1.1 euros per kilogram.

Banana prices fell slightly by 0.01% to 1.5 euros per kilogram. Mandarin prices increased by 0.04% to 1.17 euros per kilogram, while oranges remained unchanged at 1.1 euros per kilogram.
