The bustling markets of Mumbai have welcomed the first consignment of the season's Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri. This premium fruit, a seasonal delight, is being sold at a steep price of Rs 7,700 for two dozen, reflecting its high demand and superior quality.

These Ratnagiri Alphonsos, often referred to as the 'King of Mangoes', are renowned for their rich taste, succulent pulp, and captivating aroma. The arrival of these mangoes marks the onset of the mango season in India, a period eagerly awaited by consumers, traders, and food enthusiasts alike.

This inaugural batch of Alphonsos is expected to set the tone for the rest of the mango season. Market watchers and traders are eagerly anticipating further arrivals in the coming weeks, which are likely to bring a variety of mangoes from different regions of the country.
