Georgia has significantly increased its mandarin exports by almost 2.5 times

The mandarin season in Georgia typically starts in November and concludes in February. During this time, the plan is to harvest around 55,000 tons of these fruits.

The export volume of mandarins from Georgia since the beginning of September 2023 has reached 29,300 tons. This contributed to the republic earning over $19 million from citrus exports, as reported by the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture.

Notably, the volume of mandarin shipments abroad has grown by 141% compared to the same period the previous year, while the value of the exported citrus has risen by 191%.
