President extends zero customs duty rates on the import of a range of fruit and vegetable products into Uzbekistan

On December 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, through his decree, extended the application period of the zero import customs duty rate on essential food products in consumer markets. The decision aims to ensure price stability in the domestic market and control inflation, as reported by the government.

According to the document, the application period of the zero import customs duty rate for goods listed in Appendix No. 1 to the President's decree of May 31, 2022, and the decree of March 23, 2024, is extended until January 1, 2025.

Among other goods, the list includes bananas, citrus fruits, fruits, onions, and some vegetables.

Until the end of 2024, the double customs duty rate is not applied to goods originating from countries with which there is no Most-Favoured-Nation trade relationship.
