IDA joins forces with Kheops: "To boost business appeal and optimize costs"

AI: fresh order optimization software now includes local produce

This week, a partnership between IDA, a fresh produce order optimization software that enables stores, central purchasing agencies, and wholesalers to "maximize margins and minimize losses" thanks to artificial intelligence, and Kheops, which enables them to "specialize their offer to their catchment area by proposing local and direct sourcing solutions", was announced. This partnership will enable the two companies "to combine their skills to provide a complete solution for stores, boosting their appeal and optimizing their costs".

"What about direct sourcing?
Local sourcing plays a major role in attracting customers to stores, so start-up IDA has decided to focus on fresh local produce! After developing stock management software to optimize fruit and vegetable orders, Kheops is now bringing stock management to direct sourcing.

This new development was prompted by "a huge demand from stores for direct suppliers to be taken into account. After we set up IDA, many of our customers asked us 'What about direct sourcing?'" explains Mateo Beacco, co-founder of IDA. This partnership enables us to provide stores with a turnkey tool for sending perfect orders to all suppliers, from the largest central purchasing agency to the smallest salad producer.

How does it work?
"Today, 10-20% of store flows are sourced locally. Previously, the problem with direct suppliers was the need to place an order with every supplier, and therefore having to interface with all of them. Today, we can use a platform like Kheops, which takes care of placing the order with the supplier. The order is sent to the Kheops platform for direct suppliers, or to the central purchasing office for other flows. For the customer, it's easy to use, because all they see is our interface," continues Mateo.

"Improving the appeal of the offer"
"Thanks to this partnership, stores will be able to: reduce markdowns by 30%, cut the out-of-stock rate by 80%, and save two hours daily on replenishment processes and inventory level stabilization. They will be able to boost the appeal of their offer and gain significant margin points, by offering local, fresh, seasonal, and quality products. And of course, they will strengthen their commitment to sustainable development, by reducing food waste and promoting their local presence," explain the two companies.
