Turkish Santa Maria, Italian Abate Fetel and Santa Maria as well as Dutch Conference and Xenia formed the basis of the range. The imports from Turkey had already matured too far in some places, which is why sales were slow from time to time. Although availability was limited overall, this was not a major problem given the low level of the demand.

According to the BLE, prices often remained at the previous week's levels. Only Munich reported volume-related price increases for Italian fruit. Customers there also had to dig a little deeper into their pockets for local Alexander Lucas. Like Xenia and Conference, these generally only accounted for a supplementary share of the overall range. Belgian and Spanish goods did not achieve more than a complementary status.
Apples
Domestic apples clearly dominated. In general, marketing was calm. Traders rarely had cause to modify their previous prices.
Grapes
As a result of increased imports, Brazilian and Peruvian imports have now displaced Italian products from the top of the range. The range of varieties was expanding, with many different varieties available to customers.
Oranges
The unfriendly weather and the Advent season resulted in increased sales. Business accelerated, but prices did not change significantly.
Small citrus
St. Nicholas week and the adverse weather intensified the demand. Marketing was therefore very favorable. Spanish clementines, the availability of which had increased significantly once again, were therefore sold without any problems.
Lemons
Demand was not unfriendly due to the bad weather. However, increased supplies from Spain and Turkey prevented prices from rising.
Bananas
Overall, business was calm. Prices did not change significantly, as supply was sufficiently in line with the sales.
Cauliflower
Prices continued to climb. This was due to increased demand and the reduced availability of Central European lots. However, the relatively high prices led to a considerable drop in interest in some places.
Lettuce
Belgian deliveries of lettuce predominated over Italian and French deliveries. Although it was mostly possible to satisfy the very friendly demand, prices often shifted upwards as a result of the low prices.
Cucumbers
Spanish cucumbers obviously outperformed the competition in terms of volume. Marketing was calm and demand was met without difficulty.
Tomatoes
As in previous weeks, items from many different countries were available. Business was inconsistent and prices developed accordingly.
Sweet peppers
Spanish deliveries predominated. Turkish shipments supplemented and Moroccan shipments completed the picture. Formerly dominant Dutch goods were only available in Berlin.
