According to "Interfax-Azerbaijan," citing the Center for Economic Reform and Communications Analysis, from January to October 2023, Azerbaijan exported hazelnuts amounting to $94.3 million.
This marks a significant 17.4% surge compared to the same period last year.
Azerbaijan is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of hazelnuts. Major importers include Russia, Germany, and Italy. Over the ten months, Azerbaijan also supplied hazelnuts to Switzerland, Turkey, Latvia, and France.
In October alone, hazelnut exports from Azerbaijan experienced a remarkable 63.5% growth compared to 2022, reaching $15.7 million. This positive trend underscores Azerbaijan's continued strength in the global nut market.
