Senasa Peru authorizes entry of 75,000 blueberry plants from Chile

The National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senasa) authorized the entry into the country of 75,000 blueberry plants of origin and origin from Chile. Three shipments will be made during December 2023 and under the responsibility of the company Agrícola Santa Azul SRL. For this purpose, shipments must comply with certain measures. The containers must be packaged in such a way as to facilitate phytosanitary inspection at the point of entry into Peru. Likewise, blueberry plants must be transported in clean, refrigerated, closed and sealed vehicles.

After the blueberry plants have been inspected and samples obtained for the phytosanitary verification diagnosis at the point of entry into the country, the refrigerated vehicles must be sealed and transferred to the authorized production site for post-entry quarantine monitoring in the district of Supe (Barranca). Transportation costs will be assumed by the importer.
