Kazakhstan is set to export peaches, cherries, and plums to China, following the signing of a phytosanitary protocol between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China's General Administration of Customs (GAC) in Astana on November 27. The Republic of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Trade and Integration reported this development.
The protocol outlines that Kazakh fresh stone fruits, including peaches and apricots, must comply with all relevant Chinese phytosanitary laws and regulations, health and safety standards, and be free from quarantine pests and soil contamination.
According to the announcement, all orchards and packaging facilities intending to export stone fruits to China must be registered in Kazakhstan and approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the GAC of China.
