‘Consumption of mangoes could help athletes with muscle recovery’

Mangoes could help athletes with muscle recovery. The fruit is not only known for providing good calories, but for offering vitamins A, B2 and C. Nutritionist at Clínica Sculpté Adriana Santamaria: “A good daily portion would be one cup of chopped fruit, around 130 gr of fruit pre or post training. It could be an interesting suggestion for most sports. Rich in vitamins and minerals, participating in the immune system and acting with anti-inflammatory action, important for the athlete's recovery at a systemic level.”

“Mango is a tropical fruit rich in fiber and a good source of carbohydrates. It is very cool to include in the diet of athletes, providing energy for good physical activity and helping with the recovery of muscles and joints,” the nutritionist added.
