Over 23,000 tons of mandarins were imported into Russia through the Krasnodar Krai in a week

In the past week, more than 26,000 tons of citrus fruits were brought into Russia through the Krasnodar Krai. The fruits were delivered from Turkey, Egypt, and Abkhazia. The main volume, exceeding 23,000 tons, consisted of mandarins, with around 2,000 tons of oranges and 765 tons of grapefruits also being imported.

Specialists from the Southern Interregional Office of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) monitored the import of citrus fruits. Quarantine insects, specifically the Mediterranean fruit fly, were found in 13 batches. The import of 279 tons of fruits from Turkey, including 153 tons of mandarins, 106 tons of oranges, and 19 tons of grapefruits, has been prohibited, according to the agency's press service.
