NFA Albania blocks 20 tons of cucumbers due to pesticide residues

Albania's National Food Authority has blocked a quantity of 20 tons of cucumbers, which contained more than the allowed rate of pesticide content. The NFA has carried out verifications in accordance with the legislation in force in the exporting subject of this product, where the immediate blocking of this quantity has been done. The subject is left with the task of taking measures for its destruction.

NFA is collaborating with other law-enforcement institutions, where based on the traceability system administered in the exporting subject, the supervision of the subjects/farmers is continued, on the use of pesticides and respect for the expiry date of the product
