UK vegetable growers continue to struggle as harvesting conditions can be challenging

Fresh Direct has issued its crop report for 8th to 15th, November highlighting the effects of Storm Ciaran that caused chaos for many growers.

It explains how the recent spate of storms, culminating with Storm Ciaran, has created huge problems for growers with excessive rain causing widespread flooding and making it difficult to harvest products from wet fields. This has affected brassicas particularly badly, causing major quality and availability issues.
