The first week of September saw the delivery of approximately 420 tons of fruits and vegetables from China to the Amur Region through the Kani-Kurgan border checkpoint. All controlled products were inspected by federal inspectors from the Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Services of Amur Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The main volume of vegetable imports included fresh carrots (106 tons), tomatoes (62 tons), apples (71 tons), pears (37 tons), grapes (12 tons), mangoes (7 tons), and others.

China sent the Amur Region its first time fresh pomegranates of the year. The weight of the shipment was approximately 6 tons. The fruits were transported in compliance with quarantine requirements and were accompanied by the necessary phytosanitary certificates. There is currently a noticeable increase in the volume of pomegranate imports from China. For comparison, in the same period of 2022, around 2 tons of these fruits were imported, which is three times less than this year.
