Twenty U.S. fresh produce and dried fruits producer organizations are exhibiting this year as part of the USA Pavilion organized by the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office in Hong Kong and Macau at Asia Fruit Logistica from September 6 – 8, 2023.
This year, the USA Pavilion highlights the quality and sustainability of U.S. fruits, vegetables and dried fruits, including potatoes from Idaho; olives, grapes, avocados and other fresh produce from California; apples from Washington State; dates from Colorado; as well as a wide range of other fresh produce and dried fruits from all over the United States.
Gregory May, Consul General for the U.S. General Consulate Hong Kong and Macau, inaugurated the USA Pavilion, saying: “Hong Kong is one of the most dynamic and open food markets in the world with consumers that value high-quality, sustainable, and delicious U.S. fresh produce and edible tree nuts.”
The United States is the fourth largest supplier to Hong Kong’s $3 billion fresh produce and edible tree nuts market. Over the last five years, the city’s global imports of fresh produce have continued to expand. During this time period, we have seen significant growth in the city’s imports of U.S. pineapples, potatoes, brussels sprouts, cashew nuts, and shelled pistachios. Hong Kong also continues to present great opportunities for U.S. organic products.
