Afghanistan successfully exported 2,000 cartons of fresh grapes to Russia through the Haritan port. This marks the first time that such an export has taken place, as reported by the Chamber of Commerce of the northern Balkh province.
The transportation of fresh grapes was carried out using refrigerated trucks to Uzbekistan through the Haritan port. From there, the grapes made their way to Russia.
As highlighted in the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, there has been a noticeable increase in goods exported from Afghanistan to its neighboring countries in recent months.
In addition to strengthening trade ties with India and Pakistan, Afghanistan has expanded its exports to Central Asian countries. This year has seen a notable increase in exports to nations like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
