Romanian producer Hortifruct has announced an increase in production in 2023 of over 20 million cans, bottles and jars, compared to 2022. These figures are estimated due to increased production, as Hortifruct planted more vegetables at the beginning of the year than last year. The expectations were confirmed even from the first harvested product: green garden peas which already have an increase of 62% compared to last year.
The best-selling and most successful assortments of the last year were Naturelo’s containers of green garden peas and diced tomatoes. But, in the partner stores you can also find whole tomatoes or passata, beans: yellow or green, tomato paste and peach compote.
Hortifruct also announced that in 2023 new cans and jars appeared: cherry tomato paste, basil tomato paste, but also new varieties of jam and fruit jam (strawberries, berries, blueberries, peaches, apricots and cherries).
