"We have filled in a reorganization process for our Chilean farming business units," said AgrÃcola Los Aromos (formerly Carsol Fruit Chile) and Servicios de Exportación Sur (formerly Carsol Fruit Export Chile).
"We made this decision because, as like many other companies in Chile, we are suffering a bad industry moment, due to the effects of the Pandemic that caused high costs in logistics, people and inputs, strong competition from other origins and local factors such as frosts that occurred in the second half of last year in the central zone of the country, which left us in a complex situation."
The local company highlighting that "significant efforts were made to address the situation for the Chilean units affected, carrying out a restructuring in operations and in the financial areas".
This restructuring process only involves their local business (farming and export) in Chile. The group has other international businesses (in the USA, Europe and Asia) that are completely independent and have no relationship with the process of the farming entity in Chile.
