Amir Adamov, CEO and co-founder of Neolithics:

“Invention for instant fresh produce shelf life prediction and QC maximises value”

The next-generation remote sensing AI system from an Israeli technology company, Neolithics, provides comprehensive internal and external quality control and analysis to optimize the value of fruits and vegetables and minimize food waste.

According to Amir Adamov, CEO and co-founder of Neolithics: "We established Neolithics to impact how we treat the planet positively. Considering that between 30% and 50% of the world's food production is wasted, we knew we had the potential to make a significant difference in global food consumption. This groundbreaking technology has been developed to facilitate the instantaneous and precise evaluation of produce quality. This analysis includes internal and external attributes like ripeness, TSS/Brix%, acidity, contamination levels, and more."

Neolithics, a company that specializes in advanced quality control systems for fresh produce, has garnered the support of the Granot Central Cooperative, a prominent distributor of fruits and vegetables to food chains and wholesale markets globally. This partnership aims to revolutionize the fresh produce industry by optimizing the utilization of fruits and vegetables, reducing waste, and enhancing overall quality and consistency.

"Neolithics combines advanced optic sensors and artificial intelligence to develop innovative systems that can predict shelf life, inspect safety characteristics and make quality control inspections of fresh produce in real-time. By leveraging these techniques, Neolithics' Crystal.eyeTM systems enable distributors, winemakers, food processors, and packing houses to maximize value and minimize food waste throughout the supply chain," explains Adamov.

Granot has taken its commitment to quality one step further by establishing an avocado lab in collaboration with Neolithics. This facility is at the forefront of technological advancements globally, says Adamov. The joint research and development center will facilitate groundbreaking research and innovation for fresh produce such as ready-to-eat avocados and mangos and ripening dates for a variety of fruits.

Giyora Marom, CEO of the Granot Farmers Group, expressed his optimism about the partnership's potential to accurately assess the internal quality and ripeness of avocados. "Through close coordination with clients, Granot and Neolithics aim to refine our protocols, reduce food waste, optimize the value chain process, and elevate fresh produce's overall quality and safety."

Neolithics' unique technology is designed for fresh food distributors, such as importers, exporters, and retailers, and food processors, such as winemakers and juice or sauce producers. By using this innovative solution, Neolithics helps companies increase the value of their fresh produce inventory while helping to improve the quality and consistency of their products.

"With this groundbreaking innovation, the fresh produce industry takes a significant leap forward; by offering the assurance of consistent quality, increased efficiency, and reduced waste as they pursue perfect fruits and vegetables," concludes Adamov.
