Franz Weber from Freshcup Germany on the optimised Zumoval juice press

"We can now ensure that no more fruit flies get into the machine"

Zumoval, the Spanish manufacturer of high-quality juice presses, has announced a new innovation. "The proven juice presses of the Fasttop line are now not only equipped with a shower for better and more effective cleaning, but also with an ingenious system so that fruit flies can no longer get into the machine," explains Franz Weber, managing director of FRESHCUP Germany and licence holder for Zumoval on the German market.

Right:
The juicer has a cycle rate of 28 to 45 fruits per minute (depending on fruit size). Weber points out that the warranty has now also been extended to 60 months, which proves its stability and functionality.

In addition, the tap, which consists of only two parts, can now also be equipped with a bottle attachment if desired, Weber points out the other improvements. "This means that the customer can conveniently fill himself with freshly squeezed juice. Another, but not unimportant optimisation is that the machines can now be equipped with either a larger or a smaller pressing tool. In practice, this means that it is now possible to process larger oranges, grapefruits or even pomegranates. With the smaller pressing tool, smaller fruits such as limes can be processed. So the variety of applications has increased significantly."

The Fasttop product line is mainly used at the point-of-sale in food retailing and the first machines have already been delivered. Weber: "We have carried out extensive tests in advance and the results encourage us. What also makes the machines stand out is their stability, as there are virtually no spare parts to be supplied. It was also our decision to offer these machines to food retailers and to install them there. All details that we could improve have been implemented accordingly and we will officially present this optimised machine during the Fruit and Vegetable Congress in Düsseldorf in September."

Juice press in the smallest space
In addition to juice presses for food retailers, the Zumoval marketing partner also offers a smaller machine for restaurants and hotels. "In this area, there is usually very little space available, which is then also mainly needed for the breakfast buffet. However, we have been using this machine for three years now in a REWE store in Oberwesel (on the right in the picture). In view of the small sales area, we had to place the machine on the salad bar, but so far the arrangement has worked perfectly," Weber concludes.
