According to the National Statistics Bureau, since the beginning of June, cabbage has significantly decreased in price (by 9.3%) as well as onions.
However, there have been sharp increases in the prices of potatoes and carrots. Since the start of the month, the prices for these two vegetables have risen by 5.6% and 6.2%, respectively.
During the last week (June 6-13), prices rose by 2% for potatoes and 1.8% for carrots. Since the beginning of the year, the price of potatoes has increased by 12.8% and carrots by 22.9%.
Despite the rapid inflation of potatoes and carrots, they remain cheaper than they were in June 2022. Moreover, cabbage is currently selling at a 20.2% lower price than a year ago.
