Emmanuel Berthe, general manager Italy, talks about it:

Thirty new hybrids in the new HM.CLAUSE catalog

Varietal innovation in the horticultural production sector is crucial if companies wish to stay current. The effort made to remain in domestic and foreign markets is certainly aided by seed companies that each year release new varieties, genetically updated, able to meet the challenges of the supply chain while taking into account the continuous climatic changes.

HM.CLAUSE Italia plays a key role in this regard by introducing 30 varieties out of the several ones published in the 'New Brochure 2024' to further expand its '2022 Catalog' of more than 250 varieties this year. (In the photo Emmanuel Berthe).

Carefully selected, the new brochure deals with the most important references grown in Italy, including but not limited to greenhouse vegetables, as well as open-field vegetables. The new products include the following segments:

  • Fresh Tomato
  • Industrial tomato
  • Fennel
  • Melon
  • Courgette
  • Bell pepper
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli and cabbage
  • Curly, endive, and escarole
  • Valerian

Tomatoes for the fresh market include Intuitivo F1 cherry and Fleming F1 smooth round; fennels Vasari F1 and Bernini F1; melons Presagio F1; and courgettes Arkana F1 (NO-ND). More about the catalog can be browsed.

This new catalog, which is available in a digital format, is the result of experiments in the area, stemming from a significant investment in research by the seed company of the Limagrain cooperative group.

"We aimed for this novelty in order to offer farmers the best products in terms of quality, safety, and profitability," explains Emmanuel Berthe, general manager at HM.CLAUSE Italy, when presenting the brochure. "Our products are sustainable because they are more resistant, adaptable to climatic changes and different cultivation techniques, with good shelf life and minimal environmental impact. Moreover, with our efforts, we aim to meet the whole chain of production and distribution, up to conquer the final consumer, through a wide choice of original, attractive, healthy, and tasty varieties. With great pride, we would like to invite you to browse our new brochure and discover these beautiful, innovative products that have come into being through our close collaboration."
