Garlic growers upset due to yellow rust disease

Garlic farmers are worried about the yellow rust disease in the Rajgarh area (Sirmaur District, Himachal Pradesh) as the harvest is approaching. They claim the disease is taking a heavy toll of their production. The color of garlic leaves in the fields is turning yellowish, which shows symptoms of yellow rust disease in the crop.

Agriculture Expert Rajgarh Dr. Hira Lal Azad said that besides garlic, cash crops like tomatoes, peas, capsicum, French beans are produced in large quantities in the Rajgarh area.
