Spain was the main export destination for Peru's mangoes

According to Fresh Fruit, a week before the end of Peru's mango campaign, the country achieved a new weekly-shipment record. “Peru exported 1,027 tons that week, i.e. 22% more than in the same week of the 2021/2022 campaign.”

Peru exported its mangoes to 23 markets, but three concentrated 71% of all shipments: Spain, with a 32% share; the Netherlands, with 29%; and France, with 10%.

Spain was mainly supplied by the Peruvian companies: Passion Fresh SAC, with a 19% share, Peruvian Inka Fruit SAC, with 13%, and Best Fruits Of Peru SAC, with 12%. These and other companies sent a total of 329 tons of mango to Spain, 87% of which was sent by air and the remaining by sea from the port of Callao and the port of Paita.

"Exports to the Netherlands were mainly carried out by Agrofutura Company SAC, with a 51% stake, Passion Fresh SAC, with 16%, and Luna Verde SAC, with a 9% share. A total of 301 tons were exported to this destination, 59% of which were shipped through the port of Callao, 32% by air, and the rest through the port of Paita.

“France was the third biggest destination this week. The leading exporters to this destination were Corporación Tierra Brava SAC, with a 24% share, Frusabe SAC, with 17%, and Passion Fresh SAC, with 15%. A total of 99 tons, all of which were sent by air, were exported to this destination this week," the consultancy stated.
