Other vegetables have seen price increases

Ukrainian supermarkets lowered prices on potatoes, beets and garlic

In early April, Ukrainian supermarkets lowered prices on some types of vegetables. Young potatoes went down from 0.71 euros/kg to 0.43 euros/kg. Pink potatoes also decreased in price. White cabbage of new harvest costs on average 2.29 euros/kg. Beets cost on average 0.27 euros/kg. Garlic has also become slightly cheaper, at 4.12 euros/kg.

However, prices for some other vegetables, such as onions and carrots, have increased. The average price for last year's potatoes is 0.31 euros/kg. Cabbage from the previous harvest is sold on average for 0.30 euros/kg, which is slightly more expensive than the previous month. The most expensive beet in the "Megamarket" costs 0.51 euros/kg. Garlic in some supermarkets is also quite expensive, for example, in "Varus", it costs 4.24 euros/kg.

Therefore, if you want to buy vegetables at a reasonable price, it is most profitable to buy young potatoes, beets, and new harvest cabbage in "Auchan" and the "Varus". If you need last year's vegetables, it is best to visit "Novus". The most expensive vegetables are in "Megamarket" and "Varus".
