Fiber-based packaging provider, Solidus Solutions (Solidus) will attend the annual Fruit Logistica tradeshow for the fruit and vegetable sector at the Messe Berlin (Germany) from Wednesday 8th – Friday 10th February 2023.
Solidus will be showcasing its Futurline® range of retail-ready packaging solutions for fruit and vegetables. This includes its solid board punnets, made from renewable resources, which offer a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic trays for soft fruits and vegetables.
Furthermore, Solidus will present other Futurline® paper-based packaging products for retail, developed at our new Solidus Experience Centre in Spain, including the paper-based modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray, which can be used for dried fruits, vegetables, specialty herbs, as well as meat, fish, and ready meals. These products are now available and approved for supermarkets in Europe. The paper-based packaging range delivers solutions that use 80-100% less plastic, giving customers durable solutions with a reduced environmental impact that meets consumer preferences. These packaging solutions match or, in some cases, can improve the shelf life of produce and decreases the need for protective packaging fillers, making it a cost-effective option compared to other methods.
At the tradeshow, customers can also learn more about Solidus’s circular strategy, which transforms recycled paper-based products into packaging and other solid board applications such as point-of-sale displays, sustainable transportation pallets, and luxury packaging.
The solid board packaging solutions will be on display in Hall 1.2 – Stand A-32 with a team of SOLIDUS experts on hand to share the benefits of its fruit and vegetable packaging.
