At the beginning of the new year, Llombart Ltd, that can look back on more than 60 years of experience in the fruit and vegetable sector, will take over vegetable wholesaler Arnold in Friesenheim. Sonja Arnold will take her well-deserved retirement, while Edgar Arnold will initially accompany the handover to make it go as smooth as possible.
The staff of Vegetable Wholesale Arnold will continue working. It will be supplemented by the team from Llombart. Lena Trautwein-Hentschel and Marcel Hentschel will take over on-site management. For the customers and suppliers of Fruchthandel Arnold, things will continue without any changes.

Import of fruit & vegetables in third generation
Llombart's core business is importing fruit and vegetables from Spain, France and Italy. Since 2016, Llombart also has its own cultivation areas in Spain, where it produces citrus fruits, grapes and garlic.
As a family business, Llombart is growing continuously - a third generation of managers is now working at the company. Aiding her father, Juan Llombart, Liliane Llombart takes care of projects, personnel and marketing. Lena Trautwein-Hentschel and Marcel Hentschel have also been part of Llombart for over 16 years, working in the industry for many years.
Expansion of the product range: German and regional products
The wholesale market has been one of Llombart's customers since the very beginning. German products from regional producers are now being added to the varied assortment from Spain and France. In the future, the team in Friesenheim will serve wholesale markets, wholesalers, farm stores, weekly markets and gastronomy customers with citrus fruits, regional fruit varieties, berries, pome fruits, stone fruits and exotics.
Llombart Ltd is looking forward to the new chapter in its company history, passionately building on everything the Arnold family has created over the past decades.
