We talked about this with Valerio De Caro, PND's sales manager for the Italian market, who already in 2018 oversaw the implementation of new industrial equipment, complying with the guidelines of the innovation plan. "Our machines," De Caro continued, " which are mostly mechanical, are equipped with an electrical panel over which the machine boot and belt controls are located. The interface is managed through a touch panel, which provides the customer with information such as, for example, the start and end of the daily activity, the processing speed, and the amount of scrap given by gross weight. The machine will then be equipped with PLC- HMI- Remote Control for data reading, which will be managed by the customer via its own LAN network."
"We have not only embraced the use of industrial automation, but also added interconnected intelligent machines that can re-enter the circuit. The advantages," continued the sales manager, "are increased flexibility and productivity, more speed by means of innovative technologies, better quality with less waste, and greater product competitiveness.
