Sébastien Guy, Lovita:

“At MedFEL, we wanted to spark the interest of manufacturers”

Sébastien Guy attended MedFEL 2022 in order to present the Lovita® at a booth shared with Escande Nursery. “Although some visitors are not familiar with the Lovita® yet, the variety is now well established in terms of reputation. We are delighted with the feedback received at MedFEL. There were a lot of people, the atmosphere was relaxed and I believe the two-day format was well-thought out.”

For the first time, visitors were able to taste the processed products such as jams, creams or juices made from this red-fleshed plum. “We want to centralize the offer for the processing part. We are actually taking an anticipation approach for the next two or three seasons. With the Lovita® juice, for example, our objective was to spark the interest of manufacturers, and we have made a few interesting contacts.”

This year, the productions from southeastern France will complete the offer from the southwest. In total, 250 tons of Lovita® are expected in September.
