The International Plant Production Techniques Exhibition (SIVAL) closed its doors last Thursday after three days of discussions and meetings at this unique fair in France to propose a complete and efficient offer of materials and services for specialized plant productions: arboriculture, vegetable crops, seeds, viticulture, horticulture, medicinal and aromatic plants, cider, mushrooms.

A 35th edition with a lot of exhibitors and novelties, as well as areas dedicated to training and jobs, conferences, round tables, not to mention technological innovation with the SIVAL Innovation competition.
Postponed to March this year, after being canceled in 2021, the exhibitors were expecting a lot from this edition. A need to meet again and exchange for professionals of the sector after two years of pandemic, increasingly frequent weather hazards and a continuous rise in production costs.

Despite a globally lower attendance and a rather “disappointing” first day for some exhibitors due to the date of the event, more visitors eventually came to the exhibition during the last two days. And for the professionals who were present, although the attendance was lower than in previous years, the quality of the exchanges was good.
