An open day dedicated to the promotion of new winter fennel variety HMC43031 F1 was held over the past few days. The event was organized in collaboration with Cooperativa Agricola PrimoSole OP in Montescaglioso (MT).

HM.CLAUSE and its connection with the Italian territory
PrimoSole is an important company that has been working with HM.CLAUSE for over 20 years to select fennel varieties. The latest event strengthens the relationship between HM.CLAUSE genetics, producers and operators. Once again, the seed company proves its closeness to the Italian territory and the deep knowledge of local needs.
HMC43031 F1: the new winter fennel
The day was attended by local operators and was organized so as to showcase the fennel, which could be assessed and tasted to verify its sweetness. The open day was therefore the occasion to verify the added volume of a variety that stands out for its white bulbs throughout all phases and for the fact it can be processed already when small (300-400 g) until fully ripe (650-700 g). The excellent homogeneity and firmness determine a high specific weight of heads and therefore high yields. The fact that stem scars are very small and therefore able of guaranteeing a long shelf-life also improves quality.
HMC43031 F1, high-quality winter fennel
Plants are always very rustic, vigorous and able to withstand frost. Being a winter variety par excellence, HMC 43 031 F1 is suitable for areas in southern Italy (Apulia, Basilicata and Calabria) with transplants between September 10th and October to be harvested between December and late February.
Each of those who attended received a "gift box" containing a technical sheet, a gadget and customized biscuit and a freshly-cut fennel head.
