Frans Kramer about majority stake in German market leader, Jung Unternehmengsgruppe:

"Fantastic step forward in our European goal”

A new German company called Hermann JungKramer GmbH has been founded. The Kramer Group has a majority share in it. That further strengthens the Kramer Group's internationalization goals. This Dutch company already has branches in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.

Germany has now been added to that list. And the group's annual revenue will increase to €600 million. The Kramer Group wants to be a leader in all the countries where they are present. In quality, assortment, and innovation. They want to do this in such a way as to inspire consumers to eat more fruit and vegetables.

The Kramer Group is a fresh food producer. This family business is the holding company for Koninklijke Vezet B.V., among others. After constructive talks, the group reached an agreement. They now have a significant majority stake in the newly established company that includes the Jung Unternehmengsgruppe. This business group is the market leader in Germany.

It is a major producer of convenience fruit and vegetables. It is also an important logistics player in fresh distribution. Their product range includes important items like small and large meal salads. And it has products such as various types of lettuce in consumer packaging and locally-grown corn. Jung is a well-established company with a rich family history.

This company, and others in the Kramer Group, will ensure that Jung's innovation can grow. Also, it can work on renewing and expanding its production capacity. In turn, Jung's extensive knowledge will strengthen the Kramer Group. That is thanks to best practices.

"We're delighted to have the chance to participate in the German market. That's along with the Jung family and their wonderful company. Along with their customers, we can develop that market. And highlight healthy food more. It's a fantastic step forward in our European goal," says the Kramer Group's Frans J.N. Kramer.

"The Jung family is proud to partner with the Kramer Group. They set the standard in ultra-fresh convenience. The new Hermann Jung-Kramer GmbH will be surprising the German convenience market with tasty, innovative products and concepts," concludes Oliver Jung of the Jung-Unternehmengsgruppe.
