H.Z. Logistics' new building has 12,000m2 crossdock center with 32 docks

"We hope to be in the new building for the 2023 vegetable season"

Dutch transport company, H.Z. Logistics, has begun the groundwork for realizing its new site on the Honderdland business park. The building permit has been granted, and construction will start in March 2022. The building will go up on four hectares of land. It will consist of a roughly 12,000m2 BREEAM Excellent cross-docking center with 32 docks. There will be a modern 2,000m2 garage and car wash too. The fleet will be serviced and maintained there.

"We bought the land in 2017 already," says director Barry Zuiderwijk. "We've grown in recent years, making a new building necessary. Honderdland was the most appropriate location for us. It's less than a kilometer, as the crow flies, from our current location. Many of the fruit and vegetable-related companies there belong to our clientele. Also, it's close to the ferry for transport to the United Kingdom."

Barry hopes to be in the new premises for the 2023 vegetable season starts. "We're proud of this step with which we're securing further growth. We want to keep taking all possible logistical worries off our customers' hands in Central and Southern Europe," he concludes.
