The production of Rossetta® strawberries has started in the Metaponto area. Compagnia delle Primizie is one of the growers and is part of OP Terre della Luce, a PO focused on the production and sale of strawberries and soft fruits from crops that cover over 120 hectares.

The first Rossetta® strawberries of 2022 are currently available in Bergamo, Milan and Verona with quotations 50% higher than the other domestic strawberries available.
"Cultivar NSG 120, commercialized under the Rossetta® brand, is an early and very productive strawberry that stands out thanks to the exceptional organoleptic characteristics of its fruits. Our partners use fresh plants that are planted in late October and start producing after only 70 days. Rossetta® combines early production and high-quality fruits, enabling us to supply premium-price produce between January and June. Production is staggered, which enables a better management of the harvesting and supply phases," explains Alberto DeVincenzis, sales manager of the PO."

Rossetta® is much appreciated by buyers and consumers for the high quality of the fruits, their conic shape, bright red color, high sugar content and persistent aroma. "We opted for a dedicated packaging, with 250 g fully-recyclable cardboard punnets."
