France: Agricultural cooperative Arterris acquires Massaferro

The agricultural cooperative Arterris, based in the Aude department, is acquiring the Provence-based potato specialist Massaferro.

Massaferro produces and packages nearly 35,000 tons of potatoes each year. The company has diversified into organic and residue-free products. It has also conducted national and European research projects to support local producers.

This operation will also help Arterris to make a place for itself in the vegetable segment. The company was originally specialized in cereals but it is also associated to represent the famous brands of prepared meals: William Saurin and Garbit.

The goal of the operation will be to make it easier for member producers to start growing potatoes, thanks to Massaferro and its large commercial network.
