Prince de Bretagne said it expects good volumes and quality of this season’s pink onions and PDO Roscoff onions. It mentioned the rains that came at just the right time, increasing the yields. There also was enough sunlight to dry the bulbs thoroughly during harvest.
A spokesperson stated: “These are good conditions which will make it possible to increase volumes alongside good quality. The season is looking good for Prince de Bretagne’s offer.”
Prince de Bretagne offers onions in a variety of packaging forms, such as net bags, plaits, tubes, and sacks, as well as loose with a sticker. In time for the launch of France’s AGEC law, the company is expected to introduce 500g and 1kg cellulose nets, as well as paper labels by year’s end.
