Some 250 exhibitors from 10 countries have already registered for trade fair duo expoSE & ExpoDirekt 2021. From November 17 to 18, 2021, the industry will meet at the 25th expoSE - Europe's largest meeting place for the asparagus and berry sector - and the 10th expoDirekt - Germany's largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing - at the Karlsruhe Messe.
"Of course, the registration level is a bit more subdued than the last few years, but we assume that many companies will register quickly after the summer break," says Simon Schumacher, spokesman for the board of the Association of Southern German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers e.V. (VSSE) and organizer of the fair duo, optimistically. "Most growers* are now vaccinated, hygiene rules and infection protection are part of everyday life. Protective measures at the Karlsruhe Messe is comprehensive and has already proven its worth. The entire industry is already waiting impatiently to find out about innovations again, to invest in future-proof machines and solutions, and to exchange ideas in an analogous way."

Supporting program: asparagus day, berry symposium and direct marketer forum
The 32nd Asparagus Day invites asparagus growers* to attend expert presentations on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the large conference hall of the Messe Konferenz Center. On Thursday, November 18, 2021, the Berry Symposium and the Direct Marketers' Forum will offer professional exchange in addition to the trade fair. The supporting program is included in the trade fair ticket.
Innovation Awards and Farm Shop of the Year Awards Ceremony.
Exhibitors at expoSE and expoDirekt can apply for the Innovation Award with their innovations until September 17, 2021. An independent jury of experts will review the submissions and award the prizes. The award ceremony will take place on the first day of the trade fair directly at the stands of the respective winners.
As part of the expoDirekt trade fair, the presentation of the best farm stores and the award ceremony for farm store of the year will be held by the trade media HOFdirekt and top agrar on November 17, 2021.
Safe trade fair attendance with infection control
For the fair execution under protective conditions, the federation of South German asparagus and strawberry farmer registered association attaches. (VSSE) follows the infection control concept of the Karlsruhe trade fair. The aisles between the stands will be 3-5 m wide, and optimum air exchange and sufficient disinfectant dispensers will be provided. Currently, access to the fair is only for those people that are vaccinated, tested or recovered. In addition, 1.50 m distance and mouth-nose covering as well as the general hygiene rules are set on the entire fairground. The maximum number of fair visitors* depends on the staged plan. Due to Corona conditional traceability, pre-registration for the fair duo is required at www.expo-se.de. This means that show tickets and parking tickets are only available online prior to the show date.
Anniversary offer: exhibitors receive space discounts
Despite last year's cancellation of the fair, VSSE has not increased its prices for participation in the fair. For the double anniversary edition, exhibitors can receive discounts on their stand space, and in addition, all trade visitors* up to 25 years of age have free admission to the trade fair.

The Association of Southern German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers (VSSE) is Germany's largest association for asparagus and strawberry growers with over 650 members. Since 1996, VSSE has been the organizer of expoSE - European Leading Trade Fair for Asparagus and Berry Production, and since 2011 it has also organized Germany's largest agricultural direct marketing trade fair, expoDirekt.
