First Brussels sprouts of the season for Dutch Oxin Growers

In the Netherlands, Eelco van Putten will begin harvesting Brussels sprouts this week. That means this season begins at the same time as in 2020. "This early in the season, the harvest is still limited, of course. But the prospects are excellent, and these sprouts are in demand," says Eelco. "Especially in countries like the US and England. However, demand in Western Europe increases every year too."

Dutch growers association, Oxin Growers, has more than 650 ha of Brussels sprouts for the 2021/2022 season. These are spread nicely across the country. Oxin Growers farmers are located in five provinces. This distribution lets this cooperative always provide its clients with the right quality and volume.
